Dear Family and Friends,
As many of you know I went back to the Special touch get-a-way this past week and I can tell you that we had a great week. In fact they had some plans for me last week that I did not know about. There was a lot of people who came over 40 of them had some sort of disability Our days was filled with all sort of activities like playing games outdoors and indoors to doing arts and crafts. Our morning chapel services was taught by Stephen Goudry who in my opinion is one great bible teacher. Each evening after supper we would hold a prayer time this was led my myself and Bradley A Mattrisch who works with Special Touch. Brad is a special young man he has cerebral palsy like me but God has given him a gift to teach and he is a real blessing. On Monday evening I did the teaching which is like a small devotional time before prayer time then we headed to the main chapel for the worship service, Brad and I work together all week in the Prayer meeting. On Thursday I learn that Brad was going to be moving on to another camp next year and they made me part of the staff, I will be teaching some each day before prayer time and just helping anyway that I can. So we will miss Brad in
Wednesday night will stand out in my mind for a long time. The minister spoke about “the river” and when he was about to give the alter call People begin to say things like ”I want to be saved” and I am telling you I have never seen such an response in all my life, it was amazing. We are talking about people with mental disabilities who may or may not understand some things and now God is opening the eyes of their heart and they are coming to Christ and asking Him to be their Lord and Savior. WoW what a move of God we had that night
Our theme for the week was “ BE STILL, BELIEVE, AND BE CHANGE, and I sure do believe that is what happen to many of us. I believe that there was many who was change last week and I know I was. I would like to ask all of you to keep this ministry in prayer “special touch ministry” And I like to say to all who help me to go THANK YOU
IN Christ
